As we continue to innovate in the world of playlisting, we are thrilled to announce an exciting update to our A&R program - Queues! This is the biggest update since its launch and we couldn't be more excited to share it with you. We remain committed to cultivating real curation of great music above all else, and we're so grateful to have you on this journey with us.
Curation Queues are a new way of interacting with songs on the Playlister.Club A&R program. Instead of adding songs directly to your playlists via the A&R program on the same-day, you now have the ability to add songs to a Queue, that will be processed throughout the A&R week. This allows for unique benefits, including:
Whenever you find a song you like, simply add it to your "Queue." The best curations from your Queue will be selected throughout the week, and you can track the progress in your "My A&R" section. Keep in mind that your Queue selections are not selected, they will expire after 7 days.
It’s simple, use the same scheduler you’ve always used. You can now select multiple songs at once with a check box. Once you have selected all of the playlists, for a specific song, you can click the “Add to Queue” button.
Once in your queue, you can head to the “My A&R” section to view the status of your bids, and even edit the placement before it is placed.
Best bid can be used if you really love a song and think it fits a playlist perfectly. It is the best-quality interaction you can make, with the highest chances of being selected within the queue. When you add a song to best bid, it will be added within the top 3rd of the playlist, without being scheduled to be removed from the playlist. Best bid is “on” by default, but you can change this via the scheduler.
Pending: These are songs that you’ve added to your queue, but still have not been selected. You can still edit the placement settings for these songs directly on the “My A&R” tab before they get selected!
Processing: These songs have been selected for the Queue and the placements are being processed.
Expired: Songs that were not selected for the Queue, and went past the 7 day expiration period.
They will be processed 28 times per week, every 6 hours. You can track the status of the A&R week in the “My A&R” tab.
Your selections will be valid for 7 days from the time they are made. If they are not selected during the A&R week, they will be carried forward to the next week, as long as they do not exceed the 7-day limit. Once the 7-day period is over, they will expire.
Yes, the A&R week still ends on Fridays in GMT time, and can be tracked directly through your My A&R section.
In order to maintain the integrity of the system and ensure that it cannot be altered, the songs for the queue are algorithmically selected based on a variety of factors, including the number of songs in each genre, their competitiveness, their quality of placement, overall activity of the playlister, and other relevant factors. The primary objective is to create a level playing field that provides equal opportunities to our artist community.
There could be several reasons why your song selections are not being selected in the queue, but generally, it means that your song selections are not competitive, compared to other playlisters interactions in this same genre. To increase your chances of getting more interactions, you can:
You can now find all of this information in the “My A&R” tab, under the “processing” Section. Make sure to use the drop-down menu (highlighted in yellow below) to expand and get all of the information.
