How do I write a Signals message?

For the best approach, we always recommend creating a Video Signal instead of sending only a written message. Video is the best practice for Signals because it gives playlisters a more personal introduction to you and your track while they review.

• Your video must be at least 8 seconds long. Use that time to briefly introduce yourself, explain what makes your song unique, share any helpful context about the release, and invite the playlister to consider adding the track to their playlist.
• Keep your video clear, personal, and focused. You do not need to create an overly scripted pitch, simply speak naturally and help the playlister understand why your song may be a strong fit.

If you do not have a video or do not feel comfortable recording one, you can still send a written message instead. However, whenever possible, we recommend using a video.
